Government lifts restrictions on temporary stay in Ukraine for accredited representatives of foreign media

On May 27, 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution № 627 "Some issues of stay on the territory of Ukraine of foreigners and stateless persons who arrived to Ukraine to work as a correspondent or representative of foreign media".

The Resolution stipulates that for the period of martial law and for 30 days after its abolition or termination, foreigners and stateless persons who arrived to Ukraine to work as correspondents or representatives of foreign media will not be subject to restrictions* on the period of temporary stay in the territory of Ukraine. To do this, foreign journalists will be required to be accredited in the prescribed manner as media representatives during the martial law regime.

According to the adopted resolution, the Ministry of Defense will constantly inform the Administration of the State Border Guard Service and the State Migration Service about the representatives of the mass media who have been accredited in accordance with the established procedure.
